The New England Patriots tied their longest winning run since the Brady era as they defeated AFC East rivals the New York Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson was the standout with three TDs as the New England squad claimed an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since iconic QB Brady's last year with the franchise in 2019

QB Maye accumulated 281 yards and a touchdown, connecting on 25 passes from 34 throws

The win bolsters the Patriots lead at the summit of the AFC East as they moved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York bottom after dropping to two victories and eight defeats

The opposing team had scored first at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Fields running in a five-yard touchdown to conclude the New York's first possession

But the home team fought back in the second quarter as Henderson scored two seven-yard TDs before the ball carrier caught a pass from Drake Maye at the rear of the end zone halfway into the third quarter to make it 21-7

"That was a key occasion for him stepping up, and it's been excellent for him to keep earning playing time," the quarterback commented on Henderson. "He desires to be great."

Fields threw to Metchie in the latter part of the third period to reduce the lead for the visitors but Borregales kicked a two field goals in the final period as the home side sealed the win
