Passengers flying with British Airways can soon enjoy fast connectivity in the air at no cost following a major agreement with SpaceX's communications company.
British Airways announced that this free, “fast and dependable” connectivity offering from Starlink becomes offered to travelers flying economy, business, or first class starting the coming month.
The parent firm of British Airways, the airline group, announced it had reached an partnership involving the satellite firm to provide connectivity access for 500-plus jets operated by its carriers, which also include Aer Lingus, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.
BA explained that this rollout for the service was included in a multi-billion pound “upgrade” plan and will provide lag-free internet coverage to flyers starting at boarding to landing, including when in flight above seas and remote regions.

Members of the airline's frequent flyer program are able to transmit communications plus plain-text correspondence onboard without paying, whereas flyers wishing to watch music, movies, and films during their flight if not travelling in business or first may pay between four pounds ninety-nine to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per connectivity bundle.
Starlink operates a network comprising thousands of orbiting devices and is operated under Elon Musk’s company.
Their leadership has been focusing to revitalize the airline back following a period of cost cutting, system failures, labor disputes, and staff cuts.
BA explained that use with smart technology had helped the airline to reach its punctuality at peak performance from over a decade ago.
